To work with Border Property of Cascading Style Sheets

The Border tab of the CSS Selector Inspector lets you set the borders of the block (or box) generated by a style, including line width, color, and line style.

            1. Line width, color, and line style for each physical border

To edit the border properties of a style:

Step 1.

  • First of all, you have to select a style in the Style Sheet window, and then click the Border tab in the CSS Selector Inspector.

Step 2.

  • To set the border width for the top, right, left, or bottom borders, choose a unit from a Units pop-up menu and type a number in a border text box. After that press Enter.

  • Use the All Borders controls to set all of the four borders at once.

Step 3.

  • Choose a border color from the Color pop-up menu, or drag a selection from the Real Web Colors tab of the Color Palette.

Step 4.

  • Finally, choose a line style from the Line Style pop-up menu.
