How to search for selected text in the Current Document without opening the Find Dialog Box

To search for selected text in the Current Document without opening the Find Dialog Box

Step 1.

  • In Layout, Source, or Preview view, select the desired text in your document.

  • The selection must be located within a paragraph.

Step 2.

  • Choose the Edit tab from the menu bar and select Find Selection.

  • Go-Live will look for selected text at the current cursor position and highlight the next occurrence of the text by using the current settings in the Find dialog box.

  • You can also choose the Edit tab from the menu bar and select Replace & Find Next.

  • These commands can only be used if the item searched was found and it is still selected.
