To edit in Outline View

When you view a Web page in Outline view, the Outline toolbar will appear. You can use this toolbar to insert and edit HTML elements or use equivalent commands in the Special menu.

You can insert new tags as below for current selection in the HTML outline.

  1. The New Tag button inserts a new HTML tag below the currently selected tag.

  2. The New Attribute button inserts a new HTML attribute in the currently selected tag.

  3. The New Text button inserts a new HTML text box below the currently selected tag.

  4. The New Comment button inserts a new HTML comment box below the currently selected tag.

  5. The New Custom Tag/New Foreign Item button inserts an empty tag so that you can enter non-HTML code in your document.

  6. The Toggle Binary button toggles the tag format from unary to binary and vice versa. Unary tags don’t have an end tag, while binary tags have a start tag and an end tag.

International script systems selected by using any of the Go-Live Encoding options are displayed as clear text, enabling users to edit foreign-language content—for example, and Japanese or Chinese characters.
