How to create Anchors on web page

To create Anchors on web page

An anchor is a specified location on a Web page that is the destination of a link. You can create anchors either by dragging from the Point button and Shoot button directly to the location you want. You can also drag the Anchor icon from the Basic tab of the Palette to the location and then specify the origins of the links.

To create an anchor, use the New Link button:

Step 1.

  • First of all, you have to choose the select the text in the document window.

Step 2.

  • And then click on the New Link button in the toolbar.

Step 3.

  • In the Text Inspector, drag from the Point button and Shoot button to the location where you want the anchor.

To create an anchor, you can also use the Anchor icon:

Step 1.

  • Drag the Anchor icon from the Palette to the location in your document that you want to link.

Step 2.

  • In the Name text box of Anchor Inspector window, type a unique name for the new anchor.

Step 3.

  • After you have created an anchor, you can use the Point button and the Shoot button to create any number of links to that destination.
