How to check the Spelling on Content

To check the Spelling on Content

The SpellChecker checks the content of the page (ignoring the HTML), allowing you to change or skip misspellings. It can spell check an entire site easily.

To spell check your document:

Step 1.

  • Make sure the document window is selected in Layout or Source view. You have to select the text in order to spell check parts of the document, or select From Top to start spell checking at the beginning of the document.

Step 2.

  • After that choose the Edit tab from the menu bar and select Spell-checking.

Step 3.

  • Select a set of spelling rules from the Language pop-up menu.

Step 4.

  • Click Check to start the spellchecker.

  • The program displays the first questionable word, which accompanied by a description of the problem and the suggested corrections for it.

Step 5.

  • If you are satisfied with the first suggestion, click Replace.

  • If not, double-click a suggestion in the Suggestions list box, or edit the questionable word before clicking Replace.

  • You have three options for accepting the questioned words:

    1. Skip to accept a single occurrence of the questionable word.

    2. Skip All to accept the questionable word for the current session.

    3. Learn to add the unknown word to your personal dictionary.

Step 6.

  • You can click Next File to quit spell checking for the current document and go on to the next page.
